The bottom line is, you should download FX Photo Studio as the 10 billionth app. The company says that even if the 10 billionth app is not its own app it will still shell out $1,000 if the 10 billionth app is any app from the photography category.

Remember the time when Apple hit a billion app downloads? It is remarkable that Apple has decupled the number of apps downloaded in just 1.5 years. Like last time, there is a prize for the person who downloads the 10 billionth app; they will get a nice 10 grand iTunes gift card. Since the last milestone, the iPad has been released which probably helped the count quite a bit. Maybe we’ll get lucky and see an Apple announcement around the 10 billion mark. There are 1,000 apps already in the Mac app store and there have already been 1 million downloads. Assuming that there haven’t been a million downloads of one app, some developers have made quite a bit of dough. That is if you made an app like Twitter or Angry birds. Pizza Hut recently launched their new iPhone app which makes it fun and easy to order pizza from Pizza Hut. It takes advantage of the iPhone capabilities and uses them in productive ways. For example you can pinch in and out to change the size of the pizza. This app is free in the App Store.

China Times has claimed of an Apple 9.7-inch touchscreen netbook to debut in October. Foxconn will be the main manufacturer, not Quanta (as claimed in March). It is still unclear wether the netbook will be a traditional netbook, or a giant iPod Touch.

This year at WWDC, Apple wowed us again with the iPhone 3G S. What some of you didn’t know is that off the show floor, there is a really cool “app wall”. This “wall” is made up of a bunch of 30 inch cinima displays that are powered by Mac Pros. It shows every app and if the app is currently being downloaded, then the app “ripples”. If you happen to be at WWDC 2009 then you should go and check out this awesome gadget.
