Archos has just announced 2 new Home Tablets: the Archos 7 and the Archos 8. Both of these devices run Android and cost about $200. The specs include a 600MHz ARM 9 processor, 2GB of RAM, and WiFi connectivity. The battery lasts for 7 hours when watching video and 44 hours when listening to music. The Archos 7 will come out in April and the Archos 8 will come out in May. Here’s what they look like:





Wacom has just released a new tablet: the Cintiq 21UX. The new tablet has a 21-inch display as well as 8 customizable express keys on each side of the device. There are also 2 fully customizable touch-rings. The coolest feature, however, is the touch-strips on the back of the device. Simply run your finger along them and you can change your brush size, zoom in and out, and scroll down web pages. The list goes on and on. The Cintiq 21UX can be used at any angle between 10 and 65 degrees. The tablet has 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity and will be available starting late in March or early April. Starting next month, Verizon will be allowing users of their network to make and receive unlimited Skype calls over their 3G network if they have a smart-phone and a data plan. This is a feature that AT&T users have had since last fall. Users will also be able to send instant-messages to other Skype users. At the launch there will be nine smart-phones which will be compatible with this new feature. Hopefully more will be available soon after. The compatible smart-phones are:
