Recently, this idea piqued my interest: Why not just share a save file between the two systems? Well, now I’ll show you how.

What you need:

• A PC
• Xbox 360
• A USB Flash Drive 1GB or higher
• Modio (Download Here)

1. Copy your desired Skyrim saves from your Xbox 360 to your USB flash drive.
2. Plug in your USB flash drive to your Windows PC.
3. Download and extract Modio (link above). Open Modio.
4. Hit explore device.
5. Find your Skyrim folder. Copy all saves to your Skyrim save directory on PC.
6. Rename the extensions on the save files from .exs to .ess

That’s it! You’re done, and now you are ready to resume questing on your PC.

Today, Twitter made an unexpected update to their social network. Twitter issued new apps to Android and iOS, along with a brand new layout for their website. All these changes may make your head spin, so I am here to put it back in it’s forward and upright position.

Home is just like the home we all know and love. It shows you how many times you have tweeted, a box to compose a new Tweet, who you’re following, and who is following you It has your timeline, Who to Follow list, and trends list.

Along the top, we see three buttons, ‘Home’ (which should already be selected, since your on the home screen), ‘Connect’, and ‘Discover’. The Twitter bird is in the middle, and search, account settings, and the Compose button are on the upper right corner.

When we click Connect, we see two lists: Interactions and Mentions. In Interactions, Twitter shows you who you’ve tweeted to. For instance, if I tweeted, “Hey” to @robertjfclarke (Robert of OTN), it will show up here. It won’t show his response back, but just my tweet. If we go to the Mentions list, we can then view his reply back.

The Who to Follow list sticks around, and the Twitter copy write stuff is shown.

Discover is where the major changes take place. We now see five new lists; Stories, Activity, Who to Follow, Find Friends, and Browse Categories.

• Stories: Shows trends that have gone on in your timeline. You can view photos and YouTube videos here as well.
• Activity: We see who the people your following have followed, Favorited people and tweets, and stuff like that.
• Who to Follow: Same as usual, shows who Twitter thinks you should follow.
• Find Friends: Allows you to connect with other accounts (Gmail, Yahoo!, Hotmail/Messenger, and AOL) to find you friends who are on Twitter.
• Browse Categories: Shows you categories for who you should follow.

There’s no telling whether or not Apple are going to do anything to block the Siri hack, but there’s not much they can do about users jailbreaking their devices.

If you’re willing to make the plunge, there’s a few things you need to know first. Basic knowledge of jailbreaking is required, as this is a Cydia package which you’re going to load up to your device. That, a jailbroken iPhone 4 or iPod Touch and a little patience is all it takes to get this running.

Steps to Success

The installation process is very simple and takes just a few minutes to do once you’ve actually downloaded the right files.

1. Add the following repo to Cydia: http://www.cydia.be (if that doesn’t work, then try http://cydia.myrepospace.com/H1Siri/ or http://www.iphone3gsystem.fr/cydia) – The file is around 110MB in size so go grab a coffee or something while you’re waiting.
2. Go back to Manage>Sources, and find the added repo.
3. Install H1Siri.
4. Reboot your device when prompted.
5. Go to Settings (the default settings app on any iOS device)>General>Siri
6. Flip the switch to On.
7. Start enjoying Seri.

This hacked version of Siri is running through the hacker’s servers right now, which are a little unstable, so you can expect things to be slow for a little while until things get a little more stable. As stated before, Apple could pull the plug on this hacked version of Seri at any time, so chat her/him up while you can!

YouTube has a new layout that isn’t up yet, but you can still check it out with a few simple steps.

With Firefox:
1. Copy the code: document.cookie=”VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE=ST1Ti53r4fU”;
2. Go to Youtube
3. Hold down ctrl+shift+k
4. Paste the code in the text box next to the arrow.
5. Reload the page.
GOOGLE CHROME VERSION
1. Copy the code above
2. Go to Youtube
3. Hold down ctrl+shift+j
4. Paste the code in the same manner
5. Reload the page.

This format will stay until you clear your cookies. I actually prefer this new layout since YouTube links  your Facebook and Gmail accounts to display what videos your friends are posting. Firstly I must say I have yet to order and assemble the PC myself, so for more information on that, look at Robert’s guide. Secondly, this is not going to be the most upgradable or expensive PC in the world, but you will easily fool your friends with its power.

Requirements

Before you get started make sure you have a copy of Windows and a monitor, as well as a keyboard and mouse. This guide does not account for the price of either of these so the easiest solution to this is to use an existing TV or monitor and an existing hard drive. If you are like me and your old rig died, simply remove the hard drive and use it on your new PC, as you already have a copy of Windows on it. This PC build will include a 60GB SSD within the $600 budget, so if you do not own Windows, you will have a super fast hard drive to put it on.

Components

Motherboard – Biostar A780L3G – Once again, its not state of the art, but it will definitely get the job done. This motherboard has one PCIe slot and two memory bays. Not the best if you are looking to upgrade, but at $50, its a bargain. There are other options, so if you have a few hundred dollars, this is the first thing I’d recommend spending the money on.

Processor – AMD Phenom II x6 1035T CPU – A cheaper alternative to Intel’s Core i7 series, this AMD processor is beastly, and its six dedicated cores will tackle any game with ease. This is one of the more expensive items in the build, but having the power of a nice CPU can be worth it.

Graphics Card – XFX Radeon HD 6870 900M 2GB GDDR5 – This graphics card is one hell of a deal, considering it has not just one gig of memory, but two gigs! For the price its the best card you can get, and pairing ATI with AMD processors is always your best bet.

RAM – Patriot 8GB (2x 4GB) DDR3 RAM – In today’s world, RAM is no longer that expensive and eight gigs is your best bet to tackle the job. 8GB of RAM will get through most of your gaming needs, and going higher just slopes up the price rapidly.

Hard Drive – OCZ 60GB SSD - This hard drive is puny, but it is blazing fast. For situations like mine where you already have an existing drive with all your games, this drive is perfect for a clean installation of Windows and your favorite games and will run silently for gaming in the dark. Even with such a small size, the benefits outweigh it. If you prefer, you can use a 1TB HDD instead for the same price.

Optical Drive – Samsung 22x DVDRW drive – Noting fancy, but will allow you to install software and use optical media. This isn’t really required, but it’s up to you if you think you need it. If you didn’t get this, you could upgrade your RAM slightly, or another tweak so think wisely!

Case and PSU – For the case and PSU we will be looking at a slightly less expensive version of the case Robert used last year in his build – the Cooler Master Storm Scout Mid-tower case. And to top things off, the Coolmax 600-Watt Modular Power Supply will get the job done.

And there you have it! All the components to build a beastly rig that won’t break the bank. One free and easy way to do this is to install a program called Display Fusion. You can download that here: http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/.

Spreading one big picture across your monitors

1.) Go to google.com/images and search for ‘dual screen wallpapers’ or ‘triple screen wallpapers’ or whatever you have.

2.) Select a wallpaper you like. Be sure to view it in it’s full size, and download it to your computer.

3.) Open Display Fusion by clicking on the icon in your computer’s tray (Hint: the tray is the place next to your clock).

4.) In Display Fusion, make sure it has identified all your displays. If it doesn’t, make sure they are all plugged in properly, correct drivers are installed, and/or restart your computer.

5.) Now, under Background Mode, make sure ‘Span an Image across all monitors’ is checked.

6.) To select the wallpaper you just downloaded, go down and click ‘Load from’. Find the place you saved the picture to earlier, and click ‘Open’. Now, to apply this snazzy new background, click ‘Apply’. If it doesn’t look right (i.e. it’s blurry, etc) you can mess around in Size Mode to make look perfect.

Having different wallpapers on different monitors

1.) Select two/three/what have you pictures. Make sure they are at least the resolution your monitors are running at.

2.) Open Display Fusion and be sure ‘Use a different image for each monitor’ is selected.

3.) Click on the display you want the first image to be the wallpaper on. Go to ‘Load from’ and find that picture.

4.) Do this for all the monitors you have.

5.) When finished, click ‘OK’.

Step 1: Click the Start menu and type ‘cmd’. A shortcut to the ‘Command Prompt’ application should come up. This application came pre-installed on your Windows 7 computer. Click this shortcut.

Step 2: In Command Prompt, type exactly, “java -version” (without quotation marks, of course). Make it so that it looks exactly how I have mine.

java -version

Step 3: When you hit the ‘Enter’ or ‘Return’ key on your keyboard, the Java version should come up. It should look like this:

At this point in time, the latest version of Java is 1.6.0.29, as shown. If you are reading this article at a later date, it might be different.

Step 4: To exit Command Prompt, type “exit” (again, without quotation marks) and hit ‘Enter’/'Return’. The application should quit.

The 2011 Minecon Cape

Minecon is just around the corner now, but oh no! You forgot to buy a ticket! It’s too late to go the event now, but you still have a chance of getting one of the mighty Minecon capes with a simple modification to your game. Here’s how to install it:

1. Download this file
2. Open .minecraft (To get to your Minecraft bin folder simply visit the folder “Local” then “Roaming” inside your user file in Windows.)
3. Open up minecraft.jar with Winzip, 7Zip, or another free tool for opening jar files
4. Delete the meta-inf folder in minecraft.jar folder
5. Copy the file you downloaded into minecraft.jar
6. You should now have a Minecon cape in Minecraft

Jeb's Pre-Release 5 Tweet

The guys at Mojang are at it again: pumping out yet another version of the 1.9 pre-release, this time with more Ender. Some of the new features in Minecraft 1.9 include NPCs, and updated things in the nether like Nether dungeons and new blocks. New features of 1.9 pre-5 specifically are:

• Bug fixes from Pre-release 4
• Possibly the last release before 1.9 officially is released

This morning, Jeb tweeted out the 1.9 pre-release 5 JAR file which can be downloaded here. The updated JAR file should be placed in your Miencraft bin folder. Only mess with this is you know what you’re doing. To get to your Minecraft bin folder simply visit the folder “Local” then “Roaming” inside your user file in Windows. Then inside the bin file in Minecraft, you’ll see “minecraft.jar”. Rename this to something like “minecraft18.jar because you’ll need this later when the final version comes out. Simply place the 1.9 jar file that Jeb tweeted about inside that bin folder and boot up Minecraft. Everything should be ready to go.

That might not have been your problem, and there’s another way to get it back if there is no trace of it on the device at all. If the To fix it, you need to reset your network settings. Go into general settings, then reset, then hit reset network settings. Your device will restart, and most likely personal hotspot will appear on your settings homepage again, just like you remember it. Easy right?
