Sprint’s Nexus S 4G is now in the process of achieving FCC approval status. The Samsung-made device is set to be coming out sometime this Spring. The newest Nexus will boast a 1 GHz processor, 16 GB of internal storage, and Android Gingerbread. There’s really not to much information yet about the Nexus S 4G besides some basic specs. We’ll keep you updated though.

When you first load up the Deal.iz.io app you are greeted with a simple, main interface. You can view all deals, your favorite deals, or set up filters for deals from specific sites, or using specific keywords like “camera” or “iPod.” From that page, you also have the option to enable or disable deals from certain sites. 

If you tap the “all deals” button at the top, as you may have guessed, you will see all the deals. Now while a lot of this page is filled with random crap, there are some useful things every now and then. You can refresh this page by scrolling up and releasing.

When you click on a deal, a new page opens to tell you more about the deal. This page also gives you a link to the website where the deal was found.

Overall, Deal.iz.io is really pretty neat. It’s a handy app to have if you’re looking for good deals. Not all of the deals presented are necessarily useful. Only a small chunk of the deals are actually worth your while. This is definitely a well-made app though and I give it an 8/10.

If your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad is jailbroken, you may already know about Barrel. However, people who haven’t heard of Barrel should read the rest of this post on one of my personal favorite Cydia packages, Barrel. With Barrel, you can animate the transitions between pages on your iOS device. Some of the effects given are really cool!

Barrel options are accessed easily through the settings menu and allows for really cool page animations. It costs $2.99 in the Cydia store and is highly recommended by myself, along with Cydia users all over the world.

It seems that Sony Ericsson is suing Clearwire because Clearwire’s logo is too similar to theirs and might cause confusion. That’s right. These two green swirly circles are just a bit too similar for SE’s taste. Sony Ericsson does have a point that the confusion could mean a potential loss of money for them in the future. It honestly does seem just a tad silly though that they’re filing a lawsuit over it. Here’s he official court request:

I don’t typically get invites directly from Verizon to anything. At least not that I can recall. They usually send those directly to the MobileCrunch and CrunchGear guys. But this invite appears to very specifically be for me – it’s non-transferable. Would Verizon send me such an invite unless it was specially about Apple?

Here’s the main thing though. Gizmodo and Verizon are tight. Giz always covers their events and everything. This time? No inviation for Chen and the gang. Why? It’s AN APPLE EVENT. No WAY Steve Jobs would let Gizmodo into that event after the whole iPhone 4 leak ordeal. So, what do you think? Verizon iPhone? Or no Verizon iPhone?

Popular gaming accessory company, Razer, has just unveiled their latest awesome product at CES 2011. Holy awesome. Dude, just look at that. The Switchblade is a touchscreen gaming tablet with a cool backlit keyboard. Like on the insanely expensive Optimus keyboard, the LED keys are fully customizable. No really specs yet on this little beast but let’s hope Razer can make it happen soon!

This morning Apple launched their Mac App Store. Already available are 1,000 apps in the marketplace. All that’s needed to access the store is Snow Leopard and an iTunes account. Apple’s iLife applications and many other great pieces of software are already available in the Mac App Store so go check them out by installing the 10.6.6 OSX software update. Here’s the PR:
