Double Fine Adventure smashes through Kickstarter records

There’s been lots of big Kickstarter news today, with the first million dollar backed project, and now these new records set by Double Fine Adventure.

This game is in development by Double Fine and 2 Player Productions, and is the first major game company to fund their game on Kickstarter, or to crowd fund their project. It has set the records today for the most funds raised in 24 hrs & highest number of backers. As of 12:30pm Pacific time, the project has raised just over $843,000. Pretty hefty cash they’re drawing in right now, but the project still has 33 days left to go, so we’ll see how much cash they draw in in that time.
