Picture this. You’re in your car, in the middle of somewhere unfamiliar, and desolate, then your car battery dies. If you’re iPhone, or other Android phone is out of battery, you’re stuck. If you spent $50 on a SpareOne phone, you most likely will be able to call roadside assistance.
The dual-band GSM SpareOne transmits its location next to the Caller ID info and is basically a phone that you buy, throw in your car, and don’t worry about it until an emergency. Designed by Xpal Power, the company that makes Energizer and PowerSkin, a single AA battery supposedly will offer 10 hours of talk time and can hold a charge for up to 15 years, which in most cases in larger than the life of a car.
