Look at that beauty! The one in the center, I mean.
CES 2012 is finally here, and Samsung has hit the ground running with their new TVs, and everyone has been paying attention to their new 55-inch “ultra definition” OLED TV. At only 5mm thick, and with a very thin bezel, Samsung’s OLED TV is a beauty to gaze upon. It lacks a color filter, which allows for sharper, clearer contrasts, which give a more dynamic feel for viewers.
Also on the path of televisions, Samsung is also focusing on making their HDTVs even smarter, rather than improving their specs. More pricey models will soon have gesture controls and an HD Webcam, paired with new apps for users to enjoy. These apps include motion-controlled games, exercise programs, and educational activities (Kinect, anyone?). New cloud sharing of photos and other medium will also become available on the TVs. Samsung made a strong note on their new growth in “Micro Dimming Ultimate”, allowing for their TVs to be 20% brighter without the halo effect many LED TVs encounter.
