aftershot_screen_lg.jpgAdobe and Apple have been the top dogs in photography post editing for a while, with their Aperture and Lightroom programs. Corel is hoping to make a dent in this market, with their new AfterShot program.

Corel is one of the world’s top software companies with more than 100 million active users in over 75 countries, so they know a thing or two about photography. Their new program hopes to offer users a cheaper alternative to Lightroom and Photoshop, as AfterShot works with their Photoshopish application: PaintShop. With photography becoming more popular in the consumer industry, this might be a good option for users looking to move up from iPhoto, or Windows Live Photo Gallery. [Source]
