Netflix Eliminates Qwikster Project Plans

Netflix announced today that they will not split there movie streaming site and DVD delivery service into two separate websites.

This original plan sparked anger in Netflix’s subscribers. With this new news of the plans being cancelled, subscribers are very happy and Netflix’s stock rose 8%. This just comes to let everyone know that they are listening. Chief Executive of Netflix Redd Hastings wrote on Netflix’s blog saying that the split would’ve made things “more difficult” for many of its members. They also announced they are “now done with price changes.”
