How to Reorder Spaces in OSX Lion

One of it’s major flaws however, is not being able to reorder the spaces to the user’s fitting. Until the rumored new 10.7.2 update, we have a workaround to reordering your spaces.
The first thing you’re going to need to do is go into your system preferences, then your “Missions Control” preferences, and make sure the bottom two check-boxes are ticked in the top section of the space. This is how we’re going to organize the spaces. Now close all your full-screen apps, and start off with two clean spaces. Now whenever you need to open up a new space or app, open it while in the space to the left of that application, that way it will open to the right of it. If you have a space that’s already open, and you want to move it, go to the left of that space again, and then in the toolbar click on one of the applications that is open in the space you’re trying to move. It takes some practice, but when you’ve mastered it you can organize your spaces with ease.
Another handy feature to organizing the actual apps in your spaces, is to right-click on them in your toolbar, then assign to to a certain desktop (space). This way whenever you open that app in the future, it will open it in the space you’ve assigned. I’ve found this handy when having lots of apps open at once.
Hopefully you can use some of the suggestions and tips I’ve told you here, to keep you spaces organized.
