Today we’re starting a new segment called Ask OTN. If you have a tech question you want answered, simply send an email to ask@omnitechnews.net. Today, I’ll be answering a question sent in by Alex.

Q. I want to view people on my site, but not 12 hours after they’ve left on Google Analytics. What’s the best way to do this?

A. For OTN, I use GoSquared as it has a free trial, and offers great tools for finding out the source of our traffic. For example, if someone searched for an iPad Unboxing and came to our site via Google, I could see that they searched “iPad Unboxing” on Google and came to our post. This comes in really handy when you need to find out exactly what posts are getting the attention. Their website has a really nice design, and it evens sends you @ replies on Twitter when your site is peaking in traffic. They’re even working on an iPhone app. It’s incredibly easy to set-up for your site, and is available at GoSquared.com.
