Photographer Takes A Hard Hit!

Last week during the Packers vs Bears game Scott Kelby A photographer for the NFL took a hard hit when Aaron Rodgers was diving for a touchdown lost his footing and slid into Kelbys Gitzo $350 monopod! Despite all the ciaos Rodgers did get the touchdown. The monopod took the brunt of the spill but luckily his 400mm f/2.8 lens on his Nikon D3 suffered not damage! “Lucky him because that’s an $8,799 lens and a $5,100 body”

On a smarter note as he saw the action coming his way and he gripped the monopod in his left hand and grabbed his second body “also a D3″ in his right hand and continued shooting, resulting in some fantastic shots! Which you can see HERE at his personal blog.  I guess that’s what you call an occupational hazard, but in the end he is getting a new Gitzo monopod and know one got hurt so it all worked out in the end!
