Leaked || The iPad 2

This leak comes directly from CES 2011, where Engadget have discovered many case companies showing off there new case designs for the ‘iPad 2′. One case manufacturer in particular, decided to make it their duty to create a mockup of the new device. It has been displayed to the world in all its glory.

Of course, with every Apple device, there is always that extra hype which always seems to set us up for a hard fall. Lets hope this is an exception.

Although the mockup is not terrible differant to the currant iPad, it does have some notable changes. For example, it has a large cut out on the bottom right corner which looks to be a new and enhanced speaker.

The mockup is also quite a bit thinner, boasting 9.4mm in depth. Thats 4mm thinner than the iPad currently on the market, but it’s hard to believe that this will be the case with the ‘real’ iPad 2.

The iPad 2 also shows a massive upgrade in storage at 128GB, doubling the current 64GB! A nice upgrade but I hope it doesn’t come at a premium.

I hope that this is not just another false story that creates great excitement in the tech world, but we will have to wait and see.
