Today, Sony announced an upgrade to their VAIO P netbook line. They’ve included things like a GPS, 3G, an accelerometer, and these weird touch-pads on both sides of the LCD screen. The touch-pads allow a lot more control over the laptop seeing as the last edition only had a tiny little mouse nib to move he cursor and click. The touch-pads will act as mouse buttons for improved “clicking-functionality.” The new VAIOs run Windows 7 and have an LCD display which is 8-inches and has a great resolution of 1600 x 768. Inside of the device, you’ll find an Atom Z540 processor, 2GB of DDR2 RAM, a 64GB SSD, and an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 500. Other features include 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth 2.1, stereo speakers, a mic, a Motion Eye webcam, and 2 USB ports. It comes in five colors and will be available in June.
