Apple to unveil a new advertising service?

According to MediaPost, Apple is going to be unveiling a new personalized Mobile advertising system. The report says that this service will be named “iAd” and will be released on April 7th. This isn’t too surprising seeing as Apple purchased a mobile-advertising company called Quatro back in January. Anyways, MediaPost also say that iAd will be heavily focused on location-based advertising. Nobody has too much more information on Apple’s first attempt at the ad business but we will update you when we find out more. Either way, we’ll find out if these rumors are true on April 7th.
