Well, now that the iPad is official, we thought we should tell you a littlle bit about it. The iPad will cost $499 for 16GB, 32GB for $599, and $699 64GB. Adding 3G costs an additional $130. The Wi-Fi models will ship in 60 days, and the 3G models will ship in 90 days. The 3G plan with unlimited data will cost $30 a month on AT&T. You can also get a 3G plan with 250MB of data for $14.99 a month. The iPad is half an inch thick and weighs 1.5 pounds. It has a 9.7-inch capacative touchscreen. The device runs on a custom 1Ghz Apple “A4″ chip and has a battery life of 10 hours. The iPad also has a 30-pin dock connector, a microphone, a speaker, bluetooth, an accelerometer, and a compass. The device syncs with iTunes like an iPhone and it can run iPhone apps. Overall, the iPad sounds pretty cool! It’s a lot cheaper than we expected as well.
