Google Nexus One is Official

It’s about time! Google finally confirmed the release of their Nexus One smart-phone at today’s Android event. The Nexus One features a 3.7-inch AMOLED display, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, GPS, compass, accelerometer, light and proximity sensor, 5 megapixel camera ,light and proximity sensor,  headphone jack, and a multicolored LED under the trackball. The device also has 2 speakers (one on the bottom and one on the back) and runs Android 2.1. The phone is HTC branded and can be custom engraved with 2 full lines of text. The Google Nexus One is available today from T-Mobile for $179 with a 2 year contract and $529 unlocked. The phone will also be available on Carriers such as Verizon and Vodaphone eventually.
