How to add a “Search the Internet” button to your Windows 7 start menu

In order to get a “Search the Internet” button in your Windows 7 start menu like the one above, you will need either Windows 7 Ultimate, Professional, or Enterprise. Simply type “edit group policy” in to your start menu search box. Click on the “edit group policy” option that will appear. You will get a window like this:

Click on the “administrative templates” button on the sidebar. From there, hit “start menu and taskbar.” Then click on the first option that will appear in the menu. It will say “add search internet link to start menu.” A new window will then pop up. Click on the button that says “enable.” Now when you search something in your start menu, you will have the option to search the internet.
