Sony Laptops Unable to use Win 7’s XP Virtualization

Bad news for those of us who were hoping to try out Windows 7’s new XP virtualization mode on our Sony VAIO laptops. Apparently, Sony disables the required hardware virtualization features of the VAIO notebooks. This makes it impossible to run the XP virtualization mode. However, Sony’s Xavier Lauwaert says that they will re-enable the feature on “select models.” So there is hope out there for all of you who desperately want this feature on your VAIO laptops.
